Fantasy Favorites
I'm a sucker for a good book. And Fantasy is the best way of escape.-
I just can't say enough about this book. It is my mark that I try to hit with my own writing. Hobb is a genius.
-
This was the best of the three Farseer books, and that's very rare for a middle book.
-
Awesome.
-
More Fitz! How could you go wrong?
-
Amazing!
-
Haven't read this one yet, but how could it not be perfect? I've heard it's the best of the six.
-
Marillier is such an amazing writer. Another woman I look up to. She combines history and myth with her prose and gives you a perfect picture of what a story should be.
-
This is my personal favorite of all of her books.
-
Not the best of the three, but amazing all the same.
-
I loved the history and setting of this book. So much color and depth.
-
A perfect continuation of "Wolfskin", and the ending is the best surprise of all.
-
Can this woman even write a bad book? Wonderful!
-
And yet another wonderful and vivid addition to Marillier's legacy of great fantasy
-
This rounded the character's story off very well. I believe she may write more in this setting, but for now this is the end of Bridei.
-
A vivid world. Worth every page.
-
I don't read sci-fi normally, but this one is superb. If you only read one sci-fi pick this one, or one of Kathy's "Star Wars" books. She's an excellent author.
-
A really cool fantasy. Different than most. I enjoyed the two characters a lot.
-
This is just totally engrosing and trippy. I could _not_ put this book down. Beware: strong graphic violence
-
A whole new spin on vampires. think Lord of the Rings meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Really awesome characters. I think this will be a new favorite series.

Fantasy Favorites (young adult)
I really love reading teen lit. It has a whimsy about it that's lacking in adult novels.-
My favorite book of all time. This is the book that made me want to write my own stories.
-
A companion to "The Giver".
-
A perfect and heart-wrenching end to the saga of "The Giver"
-
I LOVE this book!
-
This was a fun one. Not really that well written, but the kids seem to like it.
-
I loved this book. It was dark and exciting, but it never crossed the line of being unclean or freaky. The perfect quick read.
-
The sequel to "Twilight". It kind of leaves you hanging, but I'm very interested to see where this is going. She takes vampires in a whole new direction.
-
The latest installment in the Edward and Bella saga. Still can't seem to get it together, but I'm looking forward to the next...
-
This one is really fun and exciting. Never lets up after page one.
-
The plot was a bit murky, but it was a fun read. Fast moving too.
-
This is one of my favorite characters. I love how Colfer blends the characters and rubs them off each other. Just loads of fun!
-
I read this one for the first time in 5th grade. And it keeps getting better each time I revisit it.
-
You certainly can't beat this one for Aurthur Legend. A great, fun book. The "Sword in the Stone" is still one of my favorite Disney cartoons.
-
This was a fun book. Much better then the Disney rendition. I love the "pig boy".
-
Such a vivid and stirring tale. You forget that you're reading about retold characters. This is a spectacular book.
-
This is some great reading. A bit bloody in places but very exciting.
-
For all those girls out there that think that being pretty means you can't be tough.
-
I read this in one day. Soooo much fun. I've never read a Meg Cabot before, but I certainly will be reading her now.
-
This was fun. And I liked the more eastern feel to it.
-
How could you not love this book? BTW: 100% better than the movie.
-
I've only read the first in the series, but it was truly amazing.
-
A fun adventure into the soul.
-
An adventure that is more than perfect. A must read for all young fantasy fans--especially those who LOVE books.
-
This book was a wonderful suprise. Can't wait to read the second in the series.
-
This was a bit simplistic as it pertained to plot but the language was lovely and the world, vivid and surprising.
-
Pretty fun spin on faeries. A quick read.
-
This is a very engrosing story. I read it in one sitting and was very satisfied at the end. *Warning: for older teens. And I would not recomend any of the others in the series for anyone squeamish.

The Best in Christian Fiction
I'm not much of a reader of CBA but lately I've notice a trend. They're getting better. :)-
One of the most amazing adventures you'll ever read. And definitely one of the most poignant. If you only ever read one CBA series make sure it's this one.
-
I've read this one three times. The prefect love story.
-
All of these are marvelous. And they even have bible studies in the back. Very vivid and wonderful, as is to be expected of Rivers.
-
Heartbreaking, but exceedingly important.
-
The first one I read of Dekker. Wow! That's all I can say...
-
The first in the "Circle" trilogy. Amazing! Could not put this one down for the life of me.
-
A little slow compared to book one, "Black", but still worth every word.
-
The perfect ending to the perfect series.
-
A change in his usual vein, but still a poignant and amazing story.
-
This is the best in the series, in my opinion. Very interesting and unique love story.
-
Historical romance has never been better. I could read this one over and over.
-
Very rich.
-
Unfortunately I never got to read this one. My friend borrowed it and then moved away. But I intend to buy it again as soon as funds allow.
-
What a superb reflection of renewal and forgiveness.
